01 / Invitation
Start with your place.
What would make the next conversation useful for your team?
Explore CoramStarts with a person’s question rather than a product feature.
Approach 04 / Autonomy
Keep the person’s experience and judgment at the centre of the work.
Premise
You know this place and the people in it. Bring the relevant evidence into view, understand the context and decide what needs your attention.
ComposedCandidUseful
State what is visible, separate it from interpretation and make the next choice understandable. Be specific about what the system can provide.
Visual grammar. Public Sans, a warm mineral ground, deep green, small ochre accents and open bearings. The graphic establishes orientation around evidence, never a target around a person. Small rules and indexes carry information; they are not a general blueprint texture.
Motif family

Cam 04. Front entrance. Bearings around the view, never around a person. The index says which view came first.
Construction beside application. The motif establishes hierarchy, relationship or orientation; it stays out of faces, evidence and text.
The complete family
Three constructions, bearings with an index (01), bearings with a square (02) and bearings with a cross (03), and their rotated orientations. Eight files, one family. Editable SVG at assets/images/work/coram/motifs/.
Film / Forty-three seconds
A hotel front desk that knows which entrance gets busy at three, who stays late and what belongs in an ordinary day. When a question comes up, the person needs enough context to make sense of it: the right view, a moment before, a moment after. Coram brings relevant video into view so they can look more closely, decide what needs attention and bring someone else in when they need to. Their experience and judgment still lead.
The close is the verbal signature: A clear view. A steady hand.
Playback starts only when you press play, from the opening music. A dramatisation of fictional people and places: the photography is generated and the interface is a designed prototype, not a shipped product or a real deployment.
Logo motion study / Eight seconds
Separate observations move into relation and settle into the aperture. No radar sweep, perpetual rotation or scanning beam. Precision communicates useful orientation.
Coram’s source aperture geometry is preserved exactly when the mark settles. The expanded parts are campaign motion, not an approved logo variant. This is a logo motion study, not the commercial; the film above carries the campaign.
Playback starts only when you press play. With reduced motion preferred, the poster frame stands for the study.
The relationship, in use
Invitation, evidence, handoff, preparation, recognition, reflection, progress and voice. Each is a behaviour the identity supports, shown here in this direction’s own type and colour.
01 / Invitation
What would make the next conversation useful for your team?
Explore CoramStarts with a person’s question rather than a product feature.
02 / Evidence
Illustrative preparation example.
Keeps observation, question and next step distinct so a reader can check each.
03 / Handoff
No one assigned in this example.
Names a person, and admits a neutral unassigned state instead of pretending.
04 / Preparation
Local-only example. The choice stays on this page.
Makes room for local knowledge through a real choice.
05 / Recognition
You spotted the two versions. That gives the team a useful place to start.
Acknowledges a specific contribution, not a general performance.
06 / Reflection
This practice note stays on this page only.
Keeps one practical improvement in view for the next conversation.
07 / Progress
A question is a useful beginning.
No readiness score or safety claim.
Recognises preparation without inventing a score.
08 / Voice
Product description
Coram connects video, access and response.
Human invitation
Your judgment. Better informed.
Composed. Candid. Useful.
Connects a factual product description to a human invitation.
Preparation and brand-behaviour demonstrations with local-only state. These controls do not operate Coram, contact anyone or record anything. They are not a redesign of Coram’s shipping incident-response interface.
What to test
Design rules. Use the motif to establish hierarchy, relationship or orientation. Keep it out of faces, evidence and text. Functional controls keep clear labels, a visible focus state and an unambiguous reading order. Campaign colour never replaces verified warning or emergency colours.
Status. Proposed brand exploration by Jason Walker, September 2026. Photography is generated concept imagery of fictional people and places. Proposed fonts, colours and reversals are study applications, not official Coram standards. Coram’s logo geometry was sourced from its public website on 20 September 2026.
Type. Public Sans throughout, bundled under the SIL Open Font License at assets/fonts/coram-study/. A deliberate choice for this direction, not a substitute for Coram’s TT Commons Classic.
If the category is talking about detection and no one is showing the people who make an ordinary day, let's show them.
